Today (Saturday) is our free day. Teachers have been making plans all week trying to decide how to spend the day. Some boarded a bullet train last night and traveled to Hiroshima. Another group made arrangements to go to Mt. Fuji. Most are staying in Tokyo in order to sightsee, shop, or just rest!

I am about to venture out on my own. I am taking two different trains to a nearby city called Kawasaki. Hopefully, I will met by the Ohsono family and will spend the day with them. I have never met this family but have been corresponding with them for nearly 13 years. They don't speak English and I don't speak Japanese so it could make for an interesting day. I am taking five different translation books with me hoping they will help me commuinicate.

If I don't send any more blogs it means I am still on a train somewhere in Japan.........
