I made it! After several wrong turns and asking many questions of nice people, who couldn't speak English, at train stations, I finally reached Kawasaki City to spend the day with the Ohsono family. They treated me to a day at the Open Air Japanese Folk Museum (a Japanese version of Connor Prairie), a traditonal lunch of cold soba noodles eaten on a low table while sitting on the floor, a visit to an amazing art museum featuring the work of a famous Japanese artist by the name of Taro, and topped it off by taking me to a great sushi restaurant for dinner. The day could not have been more perfect.
NEW FOOD OF THE DAY: EEL
(Okay, it was just a tiny bite, but it still counts!)
